Any ideas on why I can only get FF results back when I read a DS2408? I'm using ow.writebyte, ow.readbyte and ow.reset. I've tried skip rom and RomID = pID. Nothing seems to get a ow.readbyte back besides FF.

I'm trying basic example programs in an effort to get results and build from there, but am defeated at this point. Ideas?

Off the top of my head...I seem to recall a problem using a 2408...tracked down to the RESET pin being floating. If I'm remembering correctly there's a brief statement in the data sheet that's easy to overlook....

Thanks for the reply. I've have RSTZ to 5V through a 10k. I am able to use owsearch so am going to see how that module is able to complete.
