Keypad Connection

Post by Ben » Mon Sep 17, 2007 3:55 pm

I would like to use the Keypad module but can't find any information about how to connect one. Is there a diagram somewhere?

Thanks, Ben

You can download the PROTON development board manual in PDF from

http://www.compile-it.com/Proton/ProtonDev.pdf

I use this board quite a lot. Most of the schematics have been removed from the web download version of the manual, but on page 12 there is a keypad schematic which works fine...

Thanks David

Is it possible to get the keypad to work on a PORT other than PORTB?

PORTB is quite a good place to put buttons and keypads as it supports weak pullups and interrupt on change...
