This stuff is not easy! My next project only requires the absolute simplest of chips so I'm reverting (temporarily) back to a PICAXE solution, not least because I have some chips and a proto-board on which to mount it!

But SF and the 18K series is my preferred platform of choice, without a doubt.

I updated the article with a reference to David's article about ensuring all internal clock code runs before any initialisation code in other "include" files.

Other than that it seems that it is a completed article.
