A Virus in the SwordfishIDE.exe?

Post by CS » Fri Oct 24, 2008 8:12 am

Hi all,

since yesterday I very often get the following message from Avira AntiVir:

"In the File 'C:\Program Files\Mecanique\Swordfish\SwordfishIDE.exe' found a Virus from type 'TR/Crypt.XPACK.Gen' [trojan]."

Whats this? Did anybody have same problem?

Your virus software is possibly using a generic detection algorithm which is being fired because of the encryption used in the SF executable for protection.

Hi David,

thanks for the fast reply, but why I get the message when the Swordfish IDE isn't running?

Because of the encryption used in the SF executable.
