Vista installation

Post by Tom Estes » Tue Jul 10, 2007 6:28 pm

I am migrating Swordfish to a new Vista machine and although SF loads and recognizes the key, it won't update. According to the read files I need a patch but I can't find it on the forum or Wiki. Anybody know where I can find it?

Thanks

Thanks for the information. Versions prior to 2.0.0.0 were NOT Vista aware in terms of installation, so this is why you are having problems.

Given that you were an early customer of the compiler, I would be happy (and it would be much easier) to send you a new CD ROM free of charge. It will probably take a week or so to get to your part of the world, but worth it if you can wait as it is 100% Vista compatible.

All I would ask is that you

(a) get the reseller you bought the compiler from to confirm your purchase
(b) email me off forum with your address so I can send the CD ROM to you.

A-OK David

I'm still able to use my XP machine so the wait is no problem.

I'll contact Reynolds Electronics for confirmation to you and send you my address via email.

Thanks

I will uninstall the present version from Vista, would you like me to send you the disk?

Yes, uninstall from Vista - don't bother returning the disk...

Hi David,

is it possible that I can also get the newer Version on CD. I have the Version 1.2.0.8 I bought it from Xor at Circuit ED. I want to switch to Windows Vista, too.

Thanks in advance

Christian

Update not working in Vista

Post by SteveB » Sat Nov 29, 2008 2:30 am

David,
I am migrating to Vista, and all seemed OK with my SF installation, but now the update does not function correctly. It downloads and "installs", but then when it restarts, it says it needs to be updated again.

Do I need to get a new CD with a Vista compatibale version?

Thank you,
Steve
