Shielded cables anyone?

Post by liak » Sun Aug 24, 2008 11:47 am

Dear all,
I am still facing on and off problems of EMF interference in my project. I suspect the EMF creeps in from the cable connecting the chips. You see, I have many of these chips chained together by data cables. The EMF frequency is in the range of 50 - 100Hz.
I wonder if anyone has experience of using any particular shielded cable? I have tried CAT5 but the price seems to be too expensive and the cable is not flexible physically and not tough enough for outdoor use.
I need at least 4 channels in the cable. Can anyone give any suggestion. Most important is that it works and does not cost too much.

Regards
