Universal MicroCode Loader (UMC) Open Source Bootloader

Post by David Barker » Tue Aug 09, 2011 8:50 am

Some people may recall that I released a BETA version of the bootloader that was DS30 compatible a month or so ago. Unfortunately, whilst the DS30 author was very helpful, the DS30 licensing was not going to meet our requirements. So, I've created my own open source bootloader. Hopefully, you should be able to roll your own firmware for any 18F device (it will program 16F as well, but that's not much use to most Swordfish users!). It also programs a device very quickly...

I'm looking for a few people who can help out testing. If you can build an *.asm file in MPLAB or from the command line you should be good to go. If you are interested, please email me at [email protected]. You will need to have the full version of Swordfish in order to test the above. If I don't already know you, please email your product key so that I can verify your license status.
