Re: SOFTWARE UART - ASM ERRORS

I am still having problems with the SUART.....THE CODE ASSEMBLES JUST FINE! I USED A COUPLE DIFFERENT SERIAL TERM PGMS REAL TERM SEEMS TO WORK OK, OR AT LEAST BETTER THAN SOME OTHERS GENERALLY. DUH - THEN I REMEMBERED THAT SF HAS A BUILT IN SERIAL TERM WHICH WORKS BEST.... AS A WAY TO TROUBLE SHOOT ...

Re: interested in new device support?

Hi Jerry
I'll bet the data sheet reads better than Crime and Punishment!
I SEE SOME SERIOUS READING IN MY FUTURE...
TIME TO TRY OUT THE PIN ASSIGNMENT PROGRAM.
Maybe I will learn enough to play with the K42...

Re: interested in new device support?

Hi Jerry I finally received the 18F06Q41 and it seems very much like a 18F26K42 that I ordered about 2-3 years ago without first reviewing the data sheet. For the 18F06Q41 I used an so16 to wide dip adapter and added the programming header. After a wait that seemed like an eternity, the mplab ide re...

Re: interested in new device support?

Hello guys, I have a couple of PIC18F06Q41 parts on the way... But fedex seems to be holding them for the past week (or has lost them) in Memphis, Tennessee. Reminds of the song. I also have the pickit4 which has been tested with MPLAB IPE v5.45 under windows 7. I have tested the pickit4 to the exte...

Re: SOFTWARE UART - ASM ERRORS

Hi Jerry, Thank you for your fast response. The two versions of the compiler that are on the old and new laptops are the latest version - that's what really had me confused... I loaded up the SUART file and the magic is back! After my code would no longer compile, I loaded the SUART sample code and ...

Re: SOFTWARE UART - ASM ERRORS

I think I may have "cried wolf" a bit hastily! I dug out my old computer (on its last legs locks on over-temp) and did not have the error that I mentioned previously. Somehow I must have messed up the installation on the new machine.... I'm a bit embarrassed, one might even say chagrined..... LEE

SOFTWARE UART - ASM ERRORS

I have been running code using the software uart which has worked flawlessly for the past couple of years. I recompiled and got errors at the asm level. I would very much appreciate any help. Perhaps I could try a copy of SUART V1.4??? After updating to SF VERSION 2.2.3.6 - ICC 1.2.0.7 , the same pr...

Re: MODULES FOR MCP23008 AND MCP9800

octal, thanks for pointing out the module you wrote for the mcp23s17.
It looks like the module mcp23s17 may also be a good match for the MCP3302/04.

Re: MODULES FOR MCP23008 AND MCP9800

Thank you octal, Jerry, and bitfogav!

I have had success with swordfish basic i2c interfacing to eeprom and an fs6377 pll.
I wanted to have a look at the code for the MCP23008 AND MCP9800 to see how I might improve my skills.
I cannot access digitaldiy - it may just be me....
Thanks again, guys!

MODULES FOR MCP23008 AND MCP9800

Hello everyone,
I am looking for help with 2 modules written by Jon Chandler.
The two modules are related to the use of i2c with Swordfish for the MCP23008 AND MCP9800 parts.
Unfortunately, the "DIY" site appears to be down (at least for me).

Any help is appreciated!
regards
Lee
