Cheers guys. I've had a couple of trial runs with your idea Jerry, things appear to work the way I'd like them to.

User module selection

The compiler will recursively search any folder in the the 'UserLibrary' and use the first module that matches the required include - powerful, but you cannot control which module is found first... Will a module in the "UserLibrary" parent folder always take precedence to sub folders. For example; ...

Re: Swordfish + Microchip HID Bootloader

Cheers guys, I've got it working now. Was the "#option org_reset = $1000" directive.

@Jerry: Even though it wasn't the issue, I have your system.bas module in the User Module folder

Swordfish + Microchip HID Bootloader

I've been experimenting with the Microchip HID Bootloader , originally with Proton. Works well, can't believe I didn't know about it's release until 3 years later! Migrating over to my compiler of choice, Swordfish, and I ran into an issue. I can't determine what exactly is going on, although Ranger...

Slave to Host is not much of an issue for objects larger than byte size, I've found it takes some sideways thinking on the other end to "rebuild" the objects. dmtulsa at Digital DIY has made a very handy DLL which can be used in Visual Studio to help break the 8-bit wall http://digital-diy.com/forum...

I'm no ham, although it looks like a good product George.

Thank you Jerry for sharing the module, will no doubt save a few people a headache or three!
You can place these in your user library folder and they will be used instead of the standard SF ones.
Has this always been the case? (user modules of the same name taking preference over system modules?)

I'm almost done with the consolidated version I've been working on that adds support for all the 18F USB pics. Hopefully it'll help with some of these issues, although you still have to do a bit of manual management. As with Roshan, I too am interested in your efforts. Thank you for looking into it...

It's easy to overlook the Swordfish licensing - It is clearly labelled "Single License" or "Dual License" depending on the product you purchased. The recent security updates look to have addressed licensing as well. Should be anyhow, there's always the chance you may have brought it second-hand or a...

The EUSART module defaults to 8N1.

There isn't a whole lot of configuration available.. 9-bit mode will cost you the parity bit, that's about all you can do.

Re: USART RX Interrupt

Hi Widgetman, I understand you're coming from the viewpoint of using interrupts, although I was a little confused by your example: I have a main loop where I use the ReadSerial call then if no charcters are coming in I proceed to toggle some leds then delay 5 seconds. I interpret that as a quick sta...

18F25K22 + ds30 Bootloader

A recent topic at DD would be of interest if you're familiar with ds30 or are chasing a bootloader that works with the 18F25K22.

The changes are not yet official.

You could always order some free samples from microchip..

Make sure you check what packages you are ordering as I'm sure they wouldn't appreciate such a response due to someone else's failure to read.
