It's good to hear that it is now working. Without the pull-up, the PIC input is floating, prior to card insertion, causing false returns.

Also, the SD card output is 3.3V, but this is usually sufficient to register as a high on the PIC input, so you can get away without level-shifters to 5V.

Hi E_VH, First of all, welcome to the forum. Can I confirm that you are using the latest version of the SD File System (http://www.sfcompiler.co.uk/wiki/pmwiki.php?n=SwordfishUser.SDFileSystemVersion). Also, have you got a pull-up on RC4 - there is a circuit diagram at http://www.sfcompiler.co.uk/wi...

It's now so long since I write the example that I can't remember the exact details. but I think that you could probably afford the overhead of writing to an external DAC (although I have to say that the sound quality using the R2R ladder isn't too bad). If you are trying to do 2 channels simultaneou...

Yes - I'm still here. But unfortunately I no longer know what is happening. There was a good reason why David was away for a while which was personal, but I don't know what the current situation is. I've emailed David, but have not heard back from him. I have limited ftp access to the uploads sectio...

Hi - thanks for the kind comments and thanks also for your detailed answer Jerry. Sorry, the 20MHz in the diagram was a mistake on my part - thanks for spotting. Enjoy tinkering.

I experienced a similar lack of precision when developing the touchscreen module. I overcame it by averaging a read from the top-left and the bottom-right, but this is part of the module now, so it seems that this is not enough in your case. I don't think changing the pull-down resistors is the answ...

First, appolgies for not picking up the post in question - have you managed to sort the touchscreen yet or could I still contribute usefully to the thread. I understand the concern regarding lack of support or ongoing development - I share these concerns. I'll get back in touch with Dave and see if ...

I haven't looked at the datasheet for the PIC, but are your ports also analogue ports and do you need to set them to digital?

And welcome to the forum!
