Pin Selections
I note you use pins c.2 thru c.5 for the smaller chip and c.4 thru c.7 is there anything to do with the fram chip selection.
I am going to order my chips today.
2 questions
1) how did you mount for your first tests.
2) if I use 18F4550 5V do I have to use 5V fram
Thanks Jerry

I was just off reading your code and lookin at the SF Commands. It looks like it is exactly the same as the instructions in the datasheets. I want to use 2 chips 1 8Kb with a flat table with a record size of 32 bytes reserving the first 32 for pointer to last record entered. 1 512Kb with a flat tabl...

That would adequate for me
64,000 Bytes will be adquate for me if I can randomly address any range of memory.
What does the code to read and write look like?
Thanks Jerry

Other options
I can buy 512Kb for 8.63 and i suspect the ram and program space are much lower that a sd card and expense for that.

Read and write to fram
Am I correct that I can read and write to any address..
Could you share the code to read and write, could it be adjusted to use the I2C
I looks real good to me. Makes the PIC a lot closer to a computer.
Thnaks Jerry

Has anyone had any experience with Ramtron FM24C512-G Nonvolatile RAM.
This is supposted to be a random access nonvolital memory chip with ic2.
The device has 64,000 bytes of memory with 10 Billion Read/Writes.
Would sure like to use with swordfish.
